A Weekend In The City
My 20-year high school reunion is this Saturday, so I'm thinking about a special show that will help bring me back to being a student at Antioch High School in the mid-80s. For the New Wave Smackdown on 9/29, I'll be featuring some of my favorite tracks as a teen from 1984-87.
For the past 4 days I have been unable to dislodge the latest Bloc Party album from my CD player. What an amazing show tuesday night. Their 2005 debut, Silent Alarm hit me immediately as an Important Record. The follow-up, A Weekend In The City, has been a slow grower with me until Bloc Party's Nashville show this week. No longer.
